Dundee Discovery Point houses a world class exhibition telling the story of the Discovery, which was the last ship built out of timber in Dundee.
The interpretation unfolds Scotts remarkable Antarctic expedition and the history of the restored Discovery itself which you can board and explore the remarkable design features which allowed her to survive the extreme polar conditions.
The exhibition includes large format film and period re-creations of the launch, the work undertaken for the Royal Geographical Society and even a chunk of a real iceberg from the Antarctic housed in an air conditioned showcase.
