At ID Ess Cultural Development, it is our philosophy that sustainable fit-out is the future of the industry.  Taking forward the concept, way beyond the principle of recycling, through to social innovation by the use of co-design, materials and processes.  The sustainability movement gains momentum everyday.

ID Ess Cultural Development aim to implement through the integration of the fit-out process, sustainable design in museums and interiors at every opportunity.

ID Ess Cultural Development actively encourages the use of reclaimed and recycled materials and promotes sustainable construction methods to make museums and exhibitions more sustainable and aware of their environmental responsibilities.

At ID Ess Cultural Development we are constantly exploring new options and ways in which to expand the choice of sustainable materials available to clients and designers.  This portfolio includes the use of particle board made from agricultural materials, recycled aluminium and steel and low VOC paints.  We also promote the use of rapidly renewable or certified woods (authorised by the Forest Stewardship Council), eco-textiles, bio-based plastics and 100% recycled post-consumer waste wallpaper.

By adapting the policy of factoring in sustainability from the beginning, we believe we can reduce the new material build by up to 40% on an average museum or interior fit-out.
