Cotton Sustainable – FabricCotton
 

Predominantly produced from recycled clothes from the post-consumer waste stream.  Recycled cotton is available in a broad range of colours.  The common trait is that it contains a random fleck due to the non-discriminatory sorting process prior to production.  Used in clothes production and fashion accessories as you would use normal cotton.  Also excellent for home furnishings and creative hangings and wraps.

 

Kevlar Sustainable – FabricKevlar

Kevlar is a woven textile with structural qualities which out perform steel with the bonus of being extremely light-weight.
Some of the current uses for Kevlar are as bullet-proof vests, industrial ropes and safety harnesses.
Tests are ongoing introducing Kevlar as a protective coating, mixed with other textiles for use in outdoor clothing, which will increase the lifespan and protective capabilities of other, complimentary, materials.

 

Jute Sustainable – FabricJute

Floor coverings from organic jute are made in a wide choice of weave densities.  Jute is hand-woven and biodegradable.

 

 

Hemp Sustainable – FabricHemp
 

Woven organic hemp cloth is available in a variety of weave densities and a wide range of surface patterns.  Producers of this product have a distinct policy towards the reduction of pesticides in the farming process, using bleach-free production methods.  As a natural fibre, hemp also has the added advantage of being biodegradable.
